The log of the 5Z4LI DX-pedition by Rob, 5Z4RL; Jim, G3RTE; John, G3WGV and myself from Lamu Island (IOTA AF-040) in February 1999 is fully searchable below and has been uploaded to the ARRL's Log Book of the World (LoTW) (the last upload being on 17th September 2004) and Club Log. Our particular thanks go to our XYLs, Cheryl, Jan and Shan for letting us go; to Wilson and Lucas of Lamu Homes & Safaris Ltd. for looking after us so well; Ted, 5Z4NU and the Amateur Radio Society of Kenya (ARSK) for their help with the licence and the special callsign; Air Kenya for help with the excess baggage; to Neville, G3NUG for loaning us the Yaesu FT-900AT transceiver and to all our sponsors, the GM DX Group, the North California DX Foundation Inc. (NCDXF), the Lone Star DX Association, Nevada and BT Cellnet without whose help and understanding this operation would not have been possible. Enter your callsign and click on the "search" button below. Progressive searches are allowed, e.g. enter "G4" and all G4xx callsigns worked are displayed. Enter "G4B", and all G4Bx callsigns are displayed. The on-line log contains all QSOs between 17th and 24th February 1999. |
